refugium/sump questions.

I have looked everywhere I cant for the life of me find anywhere that sells sump/refugiums in the uk. Has anyone any clue where I could source one?

You can easily find them on line at any site that sells fish products. Try www.liveaquaria.com.

Live Aquaria sells livestock, not sumps and i don't think you'd want to pay shipping charges from Drs Foster & Smith to the UK even if they did ship to the UK.

Why not DIY?

I had no clue and made my own.. took a few days but it was much cheaper than buying one.

I say go with the DIY easy to do and make it so its fits all your equipment perfectly

No LiveAquaria dont ship to the UK unfortunately. If they did i'd be bankrupt already ;)

I'll have a look in the forums for some help but it seems its just a smaller tank with 2 holes and a few dividers, am I close?

or check on ebay see if any of the retailers on there will ship international

You don't even have to drill holes, you can have the drain go directly into the tank and have the return pump sit in it. on the dividers, it depends on if you want it to be a sump or a fuge a sump doesn't even have to have a divider.

yeah thats pretty much it..

you're going to need a hang-on overflow box if your tank is not drilled, a return pump, another aquarium, and some pieces of glass or acrylic for dividers.

for the tank you'd probably want something around the size of 75-100L or so.
