mechanical filtration

i will be doing a 20g tall or 25g tall tank in the near future and already decided what to use for lighting. i need help figuring out what to do for filtration. i have seen somewhere a modified aquaclear that it had live rock in it and wass even cut out for a diy skimmer. any ideas what to do? i do plan on using 2" sandbed and about 15 to 20lbs of live rock in the tank. thanks

A skimmer accomplishes a great deal of Mech filtration, but some people choose to also use a filter sock to trap even more.
