Hello
Can any one guide me how to thoroughly clean my 3130?
Is there any handbook (online) for that?
Some one told me to operate it in a bucket with fresh water and vinegar, is it true?
Any way what is the check list to follow and any other recommendations will be excellent.
Thanks

THEmarineman,
I have a CD from the Tunze factory with most of the instruction manuals on it. I will check tomorrow when at the office to see if it is listed, from memory this was originally designed for shallow sump systems from the last generation skimmer. This is an old style and was not popular and discontinued shortly after release.
Regards
Graeme

Hi Graeme
Thanks for your effort.
I really appreciate your help.
I didn’t quite understand the section I quoted you; can you explain what you meant?
Also how is it related to my question?
Thanks

Any luck locating that CD?
I also wonder if the 3130 is the model you meant that wasn’t very popular.
Here were I live it was tunze all time best seller.
I really do need instructions how to clean a 3130/2
You know how to disassemble it, which parts need to be examined and cleaned, etc …
thanks

Sorry mate,
Finally got a chance to look up this model it is an older model and the only instructions I have are for the 3130/2 this model replaced the 3130 the main difference is the change in pumps. information is available online please refer to this link to pump part numbers etc you can then find information on general pump servicing on the the tunze site. Please open the Spare parts catalogue from this link and go to page 20 for reference to your skimmer

Running it completely submerged is a good way to clean it up, use 50/50 vinegar and water. I would generally change the silencer if it is more than a couple years old. These tend to develop leaks so the air flow is restricted by water intake.
