View Full Version : Quick Litermeter III Question - Outlet Line

Greetings. Does it make any difference to the running of the Litermeter III or the Remote Pumps that the outlet lines are submerged in the sump (i.e., below the normal water level of the sump)? Or should the outlet lines be placed above the water level of the sump, thereby letting the 2-part doses and top-water fall into the sump without any pressure?

Thanks.

The pumps don't care, but there is divided opinion on whether having the tube ends in the water actually contribute to excessive crusting and plugging.

Whats your opinion on that? I run one through a kalk reactor and have had it crust up a few times. I expect it, but if there is a better way to run it, I would like to know.

I honestly don't have an opinion. When your tube crusted up, did it ever get dunked in the water? If not, then try it.
