I have several lords. They all like light( bottom to mid tank in a 120 lit with dual 250w halides and 220 actinicvho.,although most will tolerate lower lighting. I keep a good number of fish in the tank and feed a mix of brine, mysis, bloodworm, cyclopese regulary. The lords seem to enjoy all of the left overs.. I have had a spot or two fade from time to time but they have always recovered. I don't think they require phytoplankton but rateh enjoy small meaty foods.

Feed meaty foods.......not sure how acan lords are suppose to catch phyto.

Give it mysis, brine, chopped shrimp, pellets, etc.

yes it is bad to be next to a leather. They can be deadly. Try moving it

Also, try feeding your acan cyclops. Ours love it.

what is the best way to feed mysis and cyclops and meaty foods?

you can target feed with a syringe or eyedropper. I feed about an hour after the halides go off but the actinics are still on.

My acans get cyclopeeze and bits of mysis. You don't need to wait for the lights to be out to feed them -- They'll sense food in the water and send their tentacles out. My tank is at work and I leave before the lights go out, so I routinely feed with them on.
