Can I have any corals with a regular 20watt compact on a 20 gallon tank? In November I am upgrading, but until then what can I do??

Mushrooms will work under low light.

Is it a 20 Long? What type of bulbs? Even still, I wouldn't go too crazy. Might wait for other input from others.

I am only thinking of one or two corals till november... I don't think it is a 20 long...

I think zoas would survive, but they will grow long stalks searching for more light, fade and not look all that good IMO.

IME zoas like moderate to very strong light and grow kinda funky/ugly/faded if not provided with good lighting.

Keep plenty of 'non blasting' flow in there too. Sometimes a little flow will offset what's lacking in light. Also, keep regular water changes to keep trace up.

I doubt even zoa's will do well under that low lighting.
I suggest maybe a 70 watt Metal Halide.
14000k is a nice color... has a little more blue in it.

20 watt's is really not much.. i suggest letting your tank mature, and then buying things when you have your good lights.
