How do you that have done this time and time again go about it?

I have a firefish in there now and the bottom was all scuzzy so I was wiping it down and the fish jumped into the top which I had sideways on the back of the tank.

I have been siphoning, but the bottom still gets dirty

I sometimes use a turkey baster to clean up messes in barebottom tanks. It's a little time consuming, but it works.

i just took out the pvc and started siphoning with a large siphon. Only problem i ever had is when i had 2 domino damsels in there, i would go to take out the PVC and they would attack my hand non stop

So you guys don't worry about the alage on the bottom, just the chunks?

ive never had problems with algae.. Do you run direct lighting on the tank? I always use subdued lights AKA sunlight/room light, never a fixture above. As for QT 4 weeks seems to be the going norm.

Yes I have a light running on the tank. I'll just turn it on to feed then.

Thanks
