I've heard that Iwasaki makes a 175w version of the famous 65K PAR monster. The only problem is I can't find anywhere selling it (only the 14K). So if you know, please pass on the info. Thanks.

Thanks for the help but I'm looking for the 6,500K one.

I dont think they have a 175 watt.
They have the 6500K in the 150 watt SE and DE and also as a 250 watt SE. Talk with Steve at Coral Reef Ecosystems. He has all the Iwasaki bulbs or can get them.

Thanks DarG. I haven't checked it out but someone told me that they had them listed on the Iwasaki web site. I guess I'll drop Steve a line and see what he can do.

DarG is correct. There is no 175 watt 6500K by Iwasaki. The 175 watt Aqua2 is a PAR moster in it's own right!

I guess I'm just going to have to break down and get a 250w ballast for my frag/grow out tank. I'm not concerned w/ color on that tank just effectiveness. I also like the longevity of the 65K Iwasakis. I read here that someone had them going for a couple of years and their corals were still growing well and no problem algae.
