what is a good material to use to insulate your stand with, to silence the sound of your pumps and water splash. i was thinking about that stuff people use for car audio to stop the raddle in the trunk caused by sub woofers, i think its call dynamat or something. anybody had any success with anything? its already lined with rubber matts to keep water from rotting out the stand. but i was looking for more, i want this to be as quite as possible.
thanks

That's exactly what I'm thinking about doing. I have a 100 gallon tank running in my room, which is tiny. My protein skimmer in my sump makes a lot of noise. I'm planning on covering the back of my stand and dynamiting all six sides of the inside of my stand. My tank is a foot away from the end of my bed.
