I had one in a 20L for a while (had to sell when I moved). Great fish. What did you want to know?

msn711,
how long did you have the fish in the 20L? most sites suggest to keep the fish in a 50 gallon tank. i have a 30 gallon cube.
did the fish try to jump? did it pick on tankmates?
lastly, any suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks.

You'll need a fairly deep sand bed for him to burrow in at night.

Not to disagree, but they need a fine sand bed to burrow into at night. An inch or 2 will do. They are only jumpers in small tanks that are overcrowded or with other aggressive fish.

They're sand sleepers. Their natural response to threat is to dive down into the sand. They're probably the group of fish least likely to jump.
