I'm likely picking up a 24G aquapod tomorrow. I understand they are plug-n-play. Mods aside, is that true? Is it the same as a big reef?

What else do I need to know about nanos that differ from the big tanks?

thanks

You should know they are not as stable as a large tank and they can heat up pretty quick. Also when you do your rock scaping make sure you give enough space to get to the glass for cleaning. It gets pretty tight in those things!

I do very frequent water changes on my nano. At least 2x a week. Keeps everything where it needs to be.

don't be temped to buy baby species that will out grow the tank when they are fully grown. Unless you are willing to find them new homes. I was forced to find my baby lion fish a new home sooner than I wanted.

I like the JBJ setups, THey are all plug an play for the basic SW setup, depending on what you want to keep is where you will have to make changes
