Probably a stupid question, but here goes.Do I need to have a slope or pitch in my drain hoses going to the sump? Or can I just run them in a straight line to sump.Heres pics of my overflow and sump. Thanks

Nice looking sump! Was that one custom made?
My sump lines run streight to the sump (16' fall). I've never had any trouble.

I thought I read somewhere to slope your drain lines and not go staight shot to sump.My water would drain through filter media first so it probably wouldnt matter anyway. Anyone else ?

Hmmm, I have never really heard of the suggestion. Maybe the worry is the force of water hitting those 90 on your pump?? I don't really know why.
Thanks for the link
