I have been looking everywhere to find so water jugs that I can use to store my RO/DI water. Sadly to say, I have been quite unsuccessful. I plan on making RO/DI water and storing it for top offs and such. However, I need something small enough to store under a sink cabinet for example. I'm in a condo, so storage is a premium and this is part of my WAF.

I've been to Home Depot, Walmat, and some grocery stores with not success. None have empty bottles. Home Depot carries the 5 gallon blue jugs, but they are prefilled. Walmart and some grocery stores have some nice flat but long 2.5 gallon bottles that I like, but they are also prefilled with distilled water.

I did however see this bottle at Menards. http://www.coleman.com/coleman/colemancom/detail.asp?product_id=5620B718G&categoryid=8510
This might work, but I'm not sure about how they would hold up for storing water. Any other place to look for empty water bottles that are also small enough to store under a sink. 5 gallon flat jugs would be perfect and I only need 2 or 3.

Thanks.

buy the prefilled ones and use up the water, then you have a storage container.

I don't know if I really have a use for the water. Can I use it in my tank. I thought using distilled water was not ideal and RO/DI would be better.

I'll have to try Walmart again. I only saw the small jugs in the house ware section. I'll have to check the camping areas next time.

Go to a sporting goods store like Gandar Mountain, Sportman's Warehouse, Cablea's, Etc. Also any Fleet & Farm type of store. All with have a nice selection of water storage containers.

Sites like watertanks.com have PET tanks in many shapes and sizes but they cost a lot. It may be worth it to have the perfect fitting tank. You can order them with fittings installed in the places you want.

Distilled water is fine, and most of the 5g jugs you purchase are of RO water, not RODI or distilled.

I came across www.usplastic.com yesterday. The Fort-Pak 5 gallons (http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=USPlastic&category%5Fname=11943&product%5Fid=11950#) may be exactly what I need.

Blue jugs at walmart in the camping section are winners.
