My sea hare managed to devour all of the hair algae on this rock in less than 24 hours!:smokin:

I had a hair algae plague in my 10g. I bought one of those with the idea that I wasn't quite sure what I would do with him when he cleared up the hair algae. He completely irradicated it in about a week. then he got stuck in a powerhead. so it was nice because it got rid of my hair algae and then commited suicide in less than a week.

I have had Cousin Itt for several months now. It is surviving on borrowed rock and supplemental algae. I love to watch it forage though the tank. I am limited on what I can have in there with it though.

That sea hare did a good job! Too bad you don't have like an unlimited amount of rock w/ hair algae. I wonder if they would eat those algae sheets?

I tried running a ten gallon tank full of hair algae covered rock but it ate the algae faster than it could regrow.

I've been feeding it the sheets for over a month and it seems happy. It just happened to get a treat this weekend with one of Melissa's rocks.

It is usually about four or five inches long. When it stretches out it can easily double in length.
