Why would a zoanthid do this? Has been in tank for about 4-5 days with varying degrees of open-ness... of the 12 or so polyps usually no more than 3 at a time are open. Here is the best pic i can get.

Acclmation was a bit quick, but these zo's are tough.

I have done two FW dips over the last 3 days should i Iodine SW dip?

any help will be appreciated

I wouldn't do anymore fw dips. They looked stressed. The brown is just them spitting waste out. Just let them be for a few days to adjust.

Looks similar to this thread

whatever shootist had, wiped out quite a few colonies, only a sparse polop here and there remain.

Nope 2 different things. The pic above is zoa's expelling waste. I see mine spit out the exact same thing all the time. The other thread is algae growing on the polyps itself and killing the zoa's. If i see any kind of algae on the polyps i rub it off and they stay happy.
