Ok, I am upgrading to a 50 breeder. I'll have a Friedmani's Psuedochromis, a neon Gobbie or two, and Hectors Gobi, and a Firefish. I would also like a Flasher Wrasse of some sort and a blue fish to round it out. I had a Chromis' but they are terrors (too bad, 'cause I love their color and the mid water column action they provided). Anyone have a fill in for the Chromis? (obviously it'll need to be small - otherwise I would've gone with a Hippo Tang!)

What about a Blue Assessor? May be a bit price, but as far as I know they are peaceful and reefsafe

I recently tried a starki damsel...unfortunately it died in qt for unknown reasons after 4wks, so I didn't get to see how it would get along with my wrasses...but it is a beautiful blue fish...

The blue assessors that have showed up on divers den weren't much to write home about. Are the captive bred ones nicer? Anyone have some pics?

Someone took blue assesor right out of my mouth. Could get bullied by the pseudo...I am suprised it isn't wreaking havoc on the rest of your little guys.

The Pseudo has his areas that no one dare enter. Otherwise he's cool. I'll look at the Assesor. The Angles would probably not fly because there will be SPS's. I hope to get the additional fish at once (only 2 or 3) so I can add all the fish into the new tank at once. Then they'll not have established turf yet.

Does LiveAquaria carry the Dr. Seuss fish, he's sweet!

Chromis is a model citizen, solo. Just no other chromises.

The plain blue damsel is ok, if nippy.

Scissortail dartfish (I've also found it listed under scissortail goby).

Flameback/Fireball dwarf angel. Gorgeous royal blue fish with an orange/gold crest.

These are two blue fish I have in my tank. I don't know how they'd get along with your current fish so you'd need to check compatibility.

A purple reef fish (Chromis scotti) would be a good choice. The one I had in a 12g nano was very peaceful and actually I had to trade it in because it was bullied by my percula clownfish.

Yeah, but if I were going to get a Chromis I'd go for a blue or blue green. I had two that just perished ina freak (kalk) accident (ph 10+) and they were a little tough. Maybe one would be more mellow, but I have some timid little ones in there now (Rainsford Gobi). Anyone think a single Blue Chromis would be a model citizen if solo?
