A while ago I sent the wetwebmedia crew some suggestions about some of their pictures in their anthias article. Mr Fenner disagreed, saying all the ID's are correct. I'm not so sure...
Come on fellow anthias enthusiast, what do you all think?
Here's my take:
I think he's got a pic of a male bartlett under evansi, a pic of a juvi tuka under evansi, an I-don't-know-what (dispar? maybe just horrible pic of bartlett) under male bartlett, and an almost male bartlett under female bartlett.
And further down in the article, he has a female squarespot labeled as a "more dominant" lyretail female

Unlike you I am no expert at IDing anthias, but that male bartlett does look more like a dispar. Maybe you could develop a bullet-proof 'Petersons Guide' for IDing anthias?

The "evansi" furthest to the right is def a Tuka, look at the coloration of the tail.

His male Bartlett image is absolutely horrible and looks nothing like any male bartlett ive ever seen.
Also, what in the heck is the 3rd image in the Dispar set?

LOL, I thought the same thing about the bartlett!
That third pic looks like a really ugly female squammi, actually. Note blue eye. Tail looks squammi too.

Well, Bob totally dismissed my corrections first time around, so I'm not going to beat that dead horse with him. Just note....do not send people to WWM for anthias identifications! :D

edit: email was returned.... bobfenner@wetwebmedia.com does not exist anymore.... maybe he has gotten alot of emails on it and got fed up?

Yeah, his personal one doesn't work anymore. I think the new one is just crew@....

Found another one....these guys are clearly bartlett, not evansi :)

OK, last one, I swear... :D
The "P. lori" indicated half way down this page as "photoshopped" may very well be Pseudanthias flavoguttatus, not P. lori.

Yep flavoguttatus. No short red stripe running length wise onto the caudal.
