Just installed a MaxCap 90 system on our house and had some questions about the following results:
Followed the instructions and we were getting the following readings following initial set up:
Yellow waste: 515ml/60sec
Blue - output: 220ml/60sec
Flowrestrictor: cut at 2-7/8" length
0.8 PCF = 48psi (line) /60
1.180 TCF = temp correction factor 87'F water temp
84.96 gpd = 3.54 gal per hr
97.8% rejection factor
TDS IN 505 (pre RO membrane)
TDS OUT 11 (post TDS membrane)
TDS IN 000 (pre silica buster)
TDS OUT 000 (Post silica buster)
********************************
After producing about 25 gal of Pure Water
99.1%-100% rejection factor (?)
TDS IN 343 (pre RO membrane)
TDS OUT 000-003 (Post TDS membrane)
TDS IN 000 (pre silica buster)
TDS OUT 003 (Post silica buster)
Something doesnt quite add up and all TDS meter's were factory installed no re-piping was done to any equipment...
thoughts?

Your very warm water probably makes the FR chart a little off.
Shorten the FR another 1/2 inch to get to at least 3:1 with your very warm water. In the winter, the ratio will naturally be closer to 4:1.
Be sure all the probes are aligned the same way, preferably with the pins ACROSS the water flow and not in-line.
If you still see small differences in TDS, swap the probes and see if the differences track with the probes or stay the same. If it is determined that a probe is 003 off, just mentally subtract it to get a more accurate reading. You can get a more accurate in-line TDS meter for $175.
Also notice how the tap-water TDS changes with time. That affects the downstream readings.

Thanks Scott,
This system was just assembled at your shop on Friday Sept 7th. The inline TDS meters are the upgraded TDS-DL2 models and I have a Hanna COM-100 handheld that i got at the same time (that gave the temp reading). The probes were installed at the shop & have not been rotated/moved in their housings. I was just concerned in that I had zero (0) TDS out of the SB cart initially and now it says 3ppm out of the SB after such a small amount of water passing thru.
I just redid the rinse-up proceedure, reading are now:
TDS IN (pre-RO) 348
TDS OUT (post-RO) 000
TDS IN (pre-SB) 000
TDS OUT (post-SB) 000-001
Probes are aligned according to the HANNA DM-2 instructions & are ACROSS the water flow not inline with flow.
COM-100
temp reading of 89.0F
ppm 0.4

Just rechecked the meters after running for about 3hrs:
TDS IN (pre-RO) 444
TDS OUT (post-RO) 012
TDS IN (pre-SB) 000
TDS OUT (post-SB) 012
temp 85.6'F
Whats most concerning the the 12ppm out of the SB cartridge...at the most it has 75 gals thru it?
thoughts?

Please swap the two probes on the right-hand meter. If the post-SB now reads zero, you know the probe is off. We'll go from there.

Hi Scott, did as you requested and here are the results
TDS IN (pre-RO) 440
TDS OUT (post-RO) 010
TDS IN (pre-SB) 007 [reversed probes-OUT probe]
TDS OUT (post-SB) 000 [reversed probes - IN probe]
Hanna shows 0.6ppm in the output water....
looks like we may have a Bad meter?
I can bring the meter and the DI/SB cart's to the shop if you would like and we can test them there?
thoughts???
thanks for the help... :)

Sure, bring them by and we'll get to the bottom of the confusion.
Just not during the noon hour.
