How much formalin for 5 gallons of freshwater, having the problem of converting metric. The bottle calls for 1 m/l for 18 gallons of water. 1 m/l = 0.034 ounces. THANKS DAVID

1ML/G for bad cases. Otherwise, 1ML/5G.

Airstone and pH monitor are the must. Temp below 78F

Would that be like 4 or 5 drops for 5 gallons.I have nothing that measures m/l

Thanks marniap you have been very helpful .Ok I found a measureing tube that shows m/l, I am doing the dip for 15 minutes. Do i need to repeat this THANKS DAVID

I hope you mean you're doing a saltwater formalin dip for 15 minutes.

You can combine formalin in fresh but i wouldn't go for more than 2 mins.. 3 MAX in a dip.

I usually do 1 drop per gallon

I done a freshwater dip/ formalin for 15 minutes, the clown looks better today. I was told that 15 minutes is the max amount of time.
