I have a 54g corner tank that I setting up a sump for and I need an overflow. I have never setup an overflow before and I am concerned about the siphon breaking and flooding my house or the siphon not restarting after a power outage. Are there any really good overflows out there that have less risk of this or should I just break down and have a hole drilled in my tank?

If I do need to have a hole drilled, should I do it myself or have someone do it for me?

Thanks for your advice!!

I had good luck with the U tube style overflows. They never broke syphon on me.Also if I had the option I would get it drilled. If you decide to get it drilled let me know.I have a buddy who has an xtra factory overflow tower for a 54 corner bow.I almost needed it myself a few weeks ago when setting up my closed loop.I do every thing myself.I have never drilled 1 yet but if and when I get another tank thats not drilled I'll be tryin!
