Tunz users...

I have been investigating Tunz for my 180 and am wondering how quiet/noisy are these units, especially 6101 and 6201?

I've heard nothing but good things about the Tunze pumps.

You might want to post this question in Tunze's forum instead of Neptune's; however, Neptune's controllers w/ AuaSurf can control Tunze variable speed stream pumps.

Yes, I did also post this to the Tunz forum but since I am planning to use the Neptune AquaSurf (and I noticed a fair number of Tunz users here) I thought I would take a chance and ask here also. I currently have a Wave2K and while it does very well at moving water it is a bit loud for the TV room where the tank is.

I have two TunzE 6101s and they are completely silent. I can't even hear them when my main return pump is off.

2 6100's (older models) and a wavebox, the only one i can somewhat tell when its on is the wavebox and really the only th ing im hearing from that is the effect of the wave on the drain line.
