hey guys im trying to relocate everything under my tank because of the loudness, so is it possible to have a 30 foot drain coming from your tank that goes into the sump and then a 30 foot return that gets blown back into the tank? the drain works with gravity and i wanted to keep all the piping on the ground - so how could the water get back up 2 feet into the sump? I have a little gaint #4 engine - Is that enough power to push the water back 30 feet and up 4 feet to the tank?

yes that pump will pump the water 30' at about 770gph if you use 1.25" pvc. and as long as you sump is lower than the top ov your tank the water will flow into it by force of the water troping the first 4'from the tank. its all pysics

thanx- is that enough 770 gph for a 117 gallon?
and for the drain id like it to drain to the floor then send it 30 ft then back up into the sump (about two ft)

i have about 800 going through my 125 and for the drain i would use like 1.5"so there would be less friction

I used 1 1/2" pipe 35' from display and there was 7' of head. I used 1 1/2" back to tank and used a little gaint 4-mdq as my return pump. Works very nice!!!!!

I would be more concerned with your draining, rather than your return. 24" of drop over 30' of travel is pretty limiting. Mike has 3x's the slope when compared to you with his 7' of drop. So the 1.5" PVC working for him might not work for you with equivalent flow. I don't know the math calculations for determining plumbing diameter, so I would make sure I talked to someone with a similar working set up before plumbing everything, and not getting the flow you require. What you want to accomplish is possible, just has to be prepared properly. Happy reefing!
