Roger:
I'm assuming you're back now. Hope you had a great trip.

I purchased my 3rd osmolator for another tank I set up for a friend. I love the tunze top off system, but i think this third one is not the charm.

Set the whole thing up and for some reason, the water level sensor does not switch from 'green' to 'orange' when the water in the sump drops, and it follows that the metering pump does not turn on and we've had to fill the tank manually for now while you've been gone.

What should I do?

Joe

Can you describe in a bit more detail what the LED readout is and what is going on? I am back, I got back from Germany on the 7th, I just got back from MACNA though but I am back at work for the rest of the year.

sorry, I must not have been clear. the optic sensor on the osmolator doesn't appear to be correctly sensing the water level. I have installed it in my sump, and whether the water level is right at the sensor (where it should be), or below the sensor (which should activate the metering pump), the green led light on the 5017 unit stays lit and the pump is not activated.

this is a brand new unit that I just bought from marine depot.
