my calcium reactor got turned way up and my tank went from a ph of 8.2 to 7.02 in a matter of hours! Nothing has died yet, and I need to know what's the best way to save everything. I don't want to start raising it because I figure the shock would kill off a lot. I'm going to check the alk now, some advice would help....

luckily the dkh is 9.8 so it just is the ph I need to worry about...

I'm skeptical about the pH of 7.02, since the live rock should be dissolving. I'd check for electrical interference or some other testing issue. Also, turning off the reactor for a bit should allow the aquarium to outgas some CO2, which would raise the pH.

Is the output of the reactor going to a skimmer?
