Fish required?

I am starting a 20 H tank, have 40 lbs of rock. Actually 1 20 Lb piece at the center and two 10 lbs pieces for the sides.

I have a african cichild tank that has my orange.yellow and blue fish.

Do I have to have any fish in this tank?

How much are fish needed?

Also if I do get fish, would a scooter, goby and a six line wrasse do?

I have large schools in my 75 gallon cichlid tank and seems a lonely life as a single fish.

No, your tank does not have to have fish in it.

I never kept very many fish at one time because I preferred corals and other invertebrates. Fish do add extra color, movement, and character to the tank, though.


On the plus side, the water quality stayed better, longer, without having to do many feedings and a smaller fish bioload.
