Well i added a very small hippo tang (about 1-1.5") to my tank last tuesday. he was shy the first two days, and then he started coming out to swim by thursday. i fed him cylcop eeze, flakes, mysis throughout the week. after i fed him friday he went to his hidding spot in a rock, and didnt come out until tuesday when he was laying down on the bottom of the tank under his rock. he would come out a little bit when i dropped food down there. I saw him eating it, so i figured something freaked him out yet. tuesday he was still nipping at food that floated towards him. yesterday he wedged himself under another rock on the bottom of the tank and didnt come out for food. today i checked and he is laying on the bottom breathing sort of heavy. any ideas what i can do to help him?

my water as of 9/15

ammonia - 0
nitrites - 0
nitrates -5
ph - 8.2
phos - 0
calcium - 404
SG - 1.026
temp - i keep between 78-80

also, the only other fish in there are two baby clownfish that stay on the other end of the tank.

Pics would be good. And, how are the clowns behaving, swimming wise?

i will try to get some pics, but it will be very hard.

The clowns are swimming fine. just like clowns do. they eat without any problems.

i know this pic is all but useless, but its all i got. this is the area in the back corner of the tank. today he has been in and out of the bottom rock on the right. but always on his side breathing heavy.

when i just went downstairs to take the pic, i couldnt see him in there. either he pushed himself further in, and i just cant see, or something carried him off and ate him. Though i only have 1 red leg hermit, and 1 emerald crab.

he was lost again when i decided to feed the tank. i dropped in some cyclop-eeze where he has been laying, went upstairs for a few minutes and when i came down he was out, but still laying on his side.

i squirted some cyclop-eeze above him, and when it got to his mouth he was nipping at it, and eating it, but he wasnt chasing it on his own.

any ideas?
