what is the care like for red fromia stars? what do they eat? I would love one, but want to make sure the tank is ready. here are the specs
20g long display tank
29g fuge
coralife super skimmer
small heater
small peaceful fish (all I have now is a trimma goby)
lots of inverts (shrimp, snails, maybe a serpent star)
corals will be a mix of LPS, zoas, shrooms, rics, yumas, and SPS
strong lighting
50ish lbs rock spread out from fuge to display

there is a large amount of algae buildup, also lots of detritus. okay tank? its been set up for 2 weeks but it was a transfer from my old 29 which was bout 6 months old.

i don't think your tank is big enough for one of these stars...they do not have a good track record and nobody really knows what they eat...but most die not long after getting them...i tried a formia and linkia with no luck...they need lots of rock to graze on and a large mature tank for them to have a chance

I'm not sure if you would be able to keep one. And like wrasseguy2 said, there hard to feed.
