I have had a bit of a run with cyano bacteria lately, and someone suggested putting some chaeto in my main display, tucked behind some of the LR. I got some from a local reefer friend, and put it in my display behind the LR, as recommended. It won't cause any problems right? No special care for it? It should just eat up bad nutrients correct? I don't have a sump/fuge, so that's why I hid it in my display.....

Only thing I'd worry about is the flow moving it around the tank as it expands.

Other than that, just give it a bit of light and flow and it'll take off.

It won't cause any problems, but it does need light, tucking it behind a rock might not be so good. I kept mine in a corner and it grew like crazy. And if you have any pods in there they will breed like crazy in the chaeto

Just keep it out of PHs and overflows/drains, give it light and you should be AOK, It also should help with any nutrient problem.
