i have just bought a regal tang
and i have a powerhead hooked up to a piece of airline tubing that has a flow regulator on the end of it
i made it to where it drips out about 1 drop every 2 seconds
and the tang is in the bag in the tank
so he is acclimating to temp and water parameters very slowly
how long would you say he would have to be in there for?
2 hours?
3?

thanks for any replys

Temp. aclimatate for 30 min. while you add the same amount of whater that is in the bag divided in the 30 min. and you are done.

I usually QT every fish I buy so I match the salinity of the water in the bag and float the bag for 30mins to match the temp and its done.

Not quarantining a hepatus tang is pretty ballsy. Good luck... Anyhow, I'd drip acclimate for an hour and don't worry about regulating the temp for 30 min. first..
