Yesterday I received an order from etropicals for some snails, hermits and a couple peppermint shrimp.
After doing the acclimation, I put what I think are 20 astrea snails in the tank. Then after a moment, a couple of them get up and walk around, 'cause they're hermit crabs, not snails. It looks like about 7 or 8 are crabs and the rest snails.
Anyone had a similar experience?
I am keeping an eye on one of the crabs, since it is not a type I've seen before. It appears to have equal size claws, but is more of a cream/olive color, and is already an inch in size.
I was credited for the snails BTW.
