I'm considering buying an RC500. I want to know if it is better to gravity feed with a ball valve for water control directly from the tank or feed it with a pump? If from a pump what size will I need? i don't understand the whole dwell time vs 1-1.5X volume.
Micro bubbles...is there a lot coming out of it? The side that has room to run this skimmer is the same chamber as the retrun pump so I'm worried about micro bubble going back in the display.
what is the height of the elbow from the water exit side? I want to know if I can simply put the exit pipe over the side of my sump without drilling more holes.
the foot print....22x24? Is that due to the pumps? Are the evenly spaced out so I can (maybe) spin it under my tank in a small overall footprint where the pumps would be the only thing sticking out. in other words it's not like having a 22x24 sump where there is no flexibilty.
i hope all this makes since....I'm trying to education myself before making such a large purchase.
