Hi, I just updated my RK2 to firmware 2.5 and it updated successfully.

The problem I am having is this.
I got an RJ11 splitter, then I connected one to the RK2 to serial and the other which is the temp probe.

The temp probe connects/reads on either connection slot on the RJ11. The problem I'm having is my computer detecting the RK2.

The only way I got the computer to detect is by DIRECTLY connecting to the temperture slot on the reefkeeper2.

Anyone think the problem is my splitter? If so, then how come the temp probe still works on either slot?

please help. I would like to have this thing up and running. Thank you.

I am having exactly the same problem!!!! :mad2:

I have a great connection as long as the temp probe is not connected to the splitter! If the temp probe is connected I lose the connection within 10 seconds, if I push any button on the RK2 my connection will return again until the RK2 screen goes back to the regular display.

I DON'T GET THIS!!!

If you don't have the splitter that we sell our support is extremely limited. We can't vouch for homemade or third party parts.

I purchased the splitter directly from DA, it is the proper splitter, I have also connected the computer and temp probe exactly as directed. >>> ??????
