View Full Version : Moving a heavy tank

Long story short...

I bought an 11 foot 350 gallon tank in August and have not set it up yet (the stand is being welded as we speak). Problem is, I may be moving. At the new place the tank length won't let me get it around a corner to go in the front door, however the windows are more than big enough to get it into the house...but the living room window is 6 and half feet off the ground.

Now, with a 130"x24"25" tank...weighing 800-1000lbs, how the heck do I get it 7 feet in the air to get INTO that window? Also want to add that I will be using 8 of the big heavy duty suction cups to lift the tank...

ANY IDEAS would be great. How have some of you guys moved your big heavy tanks? Or am I going to have to sell it...

Thanks
