430gallon plywood tank build

I am not sure I understand your reasoning for building it outta wood. Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a glass tank? Or build one.

I looked through your thread but didn't read too deeply. Sorry if I missed the reason.

I don't see how you are going to mount the glass really. I definatly wouldn't rely on silicone and the water pressure to hold it in. You need to figure out some way to hold it in and then probably fiberglass over that part. Other than that, the build looks really good. You must have a very understanding girlfriend to put up with that project inside the house. Most of us build them in the garage and then move them into the house when they are done.

there are several tanks in out area that are plywood and are done pretty close to this method and the glass is as solid as it can be. between the pressure and the silicone the glass is incredibly secure
