Is it better to just put the SPS on LR or better to glue it? Will any of these method affect their growth?

Yes, if you put on lr rubble, then you can move them later. If you glue straight to lr. Then you have to break it off if you want to change the lr or something like that. But really its personal preference.

You should glue it. Just placing it on the rocks it will wobble around and not attach properely. They might also be knocked off if they are just loose.

Im constantly having to pick up my frags :-( Damn snails and hermits think they can just rearrange things as they see fit. I'm glad I ordered glue the other day

if you do what wentreefgirl suggested it makes things much easier if you have to move it for some reason down the road

I know of some that drill holes in the live rock and the coral base and use the hard airline to peg it in place. Works pretty slick.

glue to nice flat long rubble that can be broken with a screwdriver and hammer :)

Its better to glue frags to rubble as it will remain there and not get blown off..... But for colonies its a matter of preference.... As colonies are heavier and less likely get blown off....

What glue should on use to glue the sps to the rock under water? Will any glue work and harden under water or do I have to take my LR out of the water?

I use the duro superglue gel. Rub a little glue on the spot where you want to attach the frag and put some glue on the base of the frag. Hold for a minute or so....it should be good. For the bigger pieces, I like to use the home depot aquamend and duro superglue gel. Glue, aquamend, glue, frag has been working well for me.

You can also glue them to the rubble, then glue the rubble to the rock with just enough glue to get it to stick. If you don't use too much glue when attaching the rubble to the rock, it'll break off easily if you ever need to move it without having to break the coral, but critters won't be able to knock them over. Best of both worlds. :)
