I've had my tank set up for about 18months and I've got this white haze on the inside glass that wasn't there when I originally set it up. It's a perfecto 75. I've tried a mag float and razor blade with no luck. Any suggestions on removing it?

Can you see it when you are looking from the front of the tank or just when you look at the inside of the front front glass through one of the sides?

I noticed it when looking at the inside of the front from the side, but I believe it's gotten worse, as now I can see it when just looking at the tank from the front.

Possibly calcium percipitation. What are your water parameters?

It's in the glass it self, it won't come off. I had this happen to me. See if you can turn the tank around, make the back the front. Of course this will only work if the back is good without a built in overflow.

Travis,
I don't have a calc or alk test kit because I don't have any corals, maybe I can borrow one from another guy in the club. My calc should be close to natural seawater though, because that's what I use for WC. If it's calcium percipitaion, is there anything I can do?
Percula,
It could be possible, but it's not very uniform, and I forgot to mention that it appears to be in splotches.

Can you get a shot of it? Can you scrape it off?

I'll try to get a shot, my camera skills suck. It will not scrape off with a razor blade.

As I stated earlier this is not calcium precipitate. If it was, it would easily scrape off the glass. I have had this problem myself. I did everything to remove it. It's in the glass. You have two choices, turn the tank around if the back is good, or replace the tank. Calcium precip would be characterized by small hard white dots on the glass. They can be scraped off. I know this situation sucks, but take my word for it. Eventually you will come to realize what I'm saying is true.
