I want a bulb that isn't 100% white but has a little blue in the bulb. I am running two 65w PC antinics I think 450nm. I was going to try phoenix but was told it would be really blue with my type of ballast. Can you guys recommend a good bulb and where to buy it? I got my fixture through http://www.catalinaaquarium.com

Thanks
Dave

I am a fan of the Phoenix bulbs, The electronic ballast shouldn't under drive them to much. You may try a 12k bulb to lower the color temp a bit and drive you to a whiter color. Just remember that you can move to a much more yellow looking color by dropping to a much lower color temp without proper actinic supplements.

I have 2 PC 65w 450nm now. I looked at that chart don't really know what I am looking for. I was thinking of a 12k bulb would 10k be to white? I know people say different ballast produce different colors. I am just confused on this whole thing lol.
