The zoo director forwarded me information about the cheap availability of various cephalopods including Sepia pharaonsis (cuttlefish), octopus and nautalis all from the National Institute for Cephalopods in Galveston, Tx. These are primariily bred for research purposes. If interested, pm me for contact info.

Hello,
What are the requirements to keep cuttlefish. I think that would be a good animal to have a the zoo. There color changing is very interesting.

I think they are all very cool animals. I believe they would need species specific tanks.

i believe that the cuttlefish need a very large tank, like more than 300 gallons. they need low light, and semi cold water. it is very difficult to keep these cephalopods.
