She is beautiful. These pictures are in the bag acclimating to my quarantine tanks temperature as soon as we brought her home. I bought the nicest and largest fish I could find that showed many signs of being a dominate female out of a tankful. I will house her alone for a couple of months and pair her up with a nice juvie.

Enough chat, here she is...

Thank you. She is about 3 inches long already. She is tank raised so hopefully brook will not be an issue.

I signed onto MSN finally. I just got home :)

She is still doing wonderful today. She is hosting the powerhead. I think if she had a BTA, she would host pretty quick according to her attitude. She has eaten Selcon enriched mysis and some crushed Formula one pellets.

They are adorable to me as well. Thank you guys for the wonderful comments :) She is still doing well although she is not eating as well as I would like, but I will give her a couple of weeks after our move Friday to get settled into her new home and see how he does. She is about 3" already and hopefully she will gain another inch before I pair her. I normally get two juvies and let them develope together but am trying a new approach this time. I hope that she has beautiful babies down the road as well ;)

To think, a few years ago fish like that would have been culled because they weren't perfect! Glad to see perfection has a new look! Again, congrats! If you come across it, ORA makes a pellet food that most of my fish go nuts for...even new arrivals that can be picky with other foods. Although I mostly feed frozen, I do throw some pellets in just cause they act like I'm giving them candy. Good luck!

Is it Oraglo or something like that? Right now she has eaten a couple of bites of mysis and a couple of bites of formula one pellet but that is it. She may just need more time. My B&W pair didn't eat for two entire weeks when I got them. I know that she would have nomally been a cull but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I do not agree however on uppity prices for genetically flawed fish. That does not sit with me very well. There is a reason why they do not appear like that very often in the wild, but hopefully they will now have homes in our tanks :)
