Comeon someone has to know about them. I have seen several threads on here before about them but didn't read them because I never thought I would try MH.

Butch that would be great please let me know. Yeah great price I saw one that went for .99 and 10.00 shipping for a 175 watt horizontal burning position.

Lemmz what was the sellers name? Were they a certain brand? The ones I looked at didn't havea brand name but said they work in a m57 ballast and were brand new factory direct.

no name and i believe the seller was cbconcepts

09/30/2007, 07:26 PM
Thanks I'll keep the name, and look for them. I'm going to need 175 watt though, but I'll see if they have them.

Used the e26 mogul in 10k and 14k from absolutetrading on ebay. 10k were to yellow for me, but the 14k's are great. Nice growth, great color...good buy for $35.

09/30/2007, 10:17 PM
Thanks. I was looking at a 10k but thought 14 might be better. I guess that answered that question. I will look that guy up. I tried the guy lemmz said but couldn't find him. I'm hoping to find good replies and a name I can find to order from the same place. The bulb I was looking for would be a e39 0r e40.

Anyone else with info please jump in. I want as much feedback as I can get.

09/30/2007, 10:21 PM
I just found the guy you were talking about but both the 175 bulbs were e26. Maybe I'll get the e26 mogul socket.

Unless someone knows of a good light thats e39 or e40

You can expect a significant difference in PAR (output) between these bulbs and the "name brands". Even among the good bulbs there is a lot of differences. Sanjay Joshi's website is a great place to get an idea about how different bulbs perform. By most accounts the "cheap eBay" bulbs are among the lowest output bulbs available. I suspect they are mostly all from the same China manufacturer, not a lighting company that strives to produce highly efficient bulbs.

Lemmz Thanks.

Beananimal I hope that is the case. I was scared since I'm going from pc's to metal halides and only have softys that it might be too big of a change, but if it has less par then that will help them get used to it a little more.
