View Full Version : 6025/45 on a Reef Fanatic Wave Creator?

I've been reading that the 6025&6045s are not controllable and not reccommended on a wavemaker with less than a 15 minute on/off cycle. However I found this "Reef Fanatic Wave Creator" that can cycle pumps between 10sec and 30min intervals.
I was thinking of this 1 hour cycle scenerio:
running pump #1 for 20-25minutes with #2 off;
both pumps running together for 5-10 minutes;
then running pump #2 with #1 off for 20-25minutes.
What are your thoughts?
Thank you!

I run a one on/off cycle per day and wouldn't change a thing.
Each side is 16 hours on 8 hours off. Staggered so left side only on for 8 hours, both sides together 8 hours, right side only 8 hours.
Gives nice linear flow from both directions, and only 1 on/off cycle per day.
I ran the same config on 320g with the non-controlled full sized streams for years.

Which pumps are you running? And, even with the once a day cycle, do you ever have a pump reverse, clank, or do anything it's not supposed to do?
Thanks!

Keep in mind that when started from a full stop that the 25 and 45 nanos can make some clicking at start and this "normal" as the prop rights itself

Thanks Shawn. What n-streams are you running and how? If you have them on a full stop/start cycle do they ever reverse?
Thx.

When I had them I never had any noticeable trouble with them starting in reverse peronally. I had them on i think about 30 or so min intervals. Currently I not run a pair of 6055s on a multicontroller and could not be happier
