Hi All,
I have a green birds nest that has been doing great for about 5 months, growing great and coloring up nicely, About 3 or 4 weeks ago I noticed the tips of some branches started collecting a light brown algae kind of filmy looking and it is proceeding to spread over the whole coral. I have 3 frags of the same coral and now al of them are under attack by this stuff.
I have 3 other montis and acros that are OK and showing no signs of this problem.
Tank is 33 gallon Oceanic Cube drilled with external overflow, 3/4" return line on a Ocean motion 2 way fed by Iwaki MD40RLT from 40 gallon Sump/Refugium in basement. I have 2 SEIO 620 in the tank running full time pointed at the outside side glass. I have a Modified turbofloater 1000, lit by a 8 week old DE 20000K Giesman bulb in a Luminarc mini about 6 inches over the water. I have a 1/5 HP chiller controlled by an AC3 holding steady temps in the 76.5 to 78 range. Tank is almost 1 year old with 4" DSB in tank and in sump.

my 6" cap sort of bleached out all around the edges but my be recovering now, looking better each day.

My birdsnest was doing great. till this started

Nobody moved anywhere around it, 2 other frags of the same coral in different parts of the tank are the same condition.
