I was just screwing around with the tank. I noticed this morning the pH flatlined at 8.28 the entire night. So I thought it was time to clean the probes. While I had them out, and after cleaning. I filled a cup with tank water and put the conductivity probe in there. I got a reading of 49.0. I put it back in the tank and got a reading of 48.2.
I thought the electrical interference in the tank was supposed to raise the conductivity, not lower it. I just need some clarification. Thanks.

Interference can cause the probe readings to go in either direction. We recommend mounting the cond. probe in a drip cup to eliminate the chance of any interference problem.
