Reeflux 250W 12K DE Bulbs

I need to second that question, will soon be running reeflux 10 k DE, how do the the 12k's look???

I will soon be making my first halide purchase.
250 DE, either the Reeflux 10k or 12k with some(not a lot) of actinic supplement. Afraid of getting too much blue with the 12k.

I have 12k DEs and love them I also got th coralvue electronic ballasts to run them

I just picked up a pair of the 12K reeflux 250's. I am not a big fan of blue bulbs due to the amount of useful PAR and PPFD as compared to the 10Ks. My PPFD was cut in half. I would have to bump up to 400 watters to duplicate the PPFD. I like my coral growth. These are replacing a pair of XM 10Ks. I got great color and growth from the XMs. My wife prefers the look of the blue bulbs though.

I love them...I run 12k on my 60 cube...You dont need to run actinics...converting my 250 tank to 12k soon..

I believe this tank runs those bulbs, but the 400watt versions? His colors are great looking and he doesn't use any atinic supplement at all. I wonder what they would look like using m80 ballasts instead of electronic?

I was wondering about the M80 ballasts too. Any of you guys running them doing so on an M80 ballast, or is everybody on electronic?

I believe Mike uses SE Bulbs? I was asking about how similar the DE's were.

I have a pair of them and I must say....this being the 3rd item I have tried from coralvue, I am disgusted with the quality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Both of my DE 12k reeflux bulbs are flickering and constantly change color. I KNOW ITS THE BULBS BECAUSE EVERY OTHER BULB I HAVE (PHEONIX,XM,ETC.) DONT FLICKER OR CHANGE COLOR. I have tried switching them on and off, replacing them in the fixture and even checking the ballast/fixture for loose conections!

I have two brand new bulbs coming from Vue technologies and when I receive them, they are going to be sold!!!!!

The color of them is nice, but the par is a little low compared to my pheonix's. Not as blue either...at least not the bulbs that I have????

I have had a coralvue T-5 kit that was also junk...seems like they just dont sell quality items!!!
Just my thoughts as I like quality and try to buy trusting items and now must put CORALVUE in the trash!
