Koralia's have a wider softer flow pattern, and come with the magnet mounting. Also more energy effecient. Pretty bad about sucking up Anemones, SeaHares, etc and don't "throw" very far.

Seios have a more focused, yet still pretty gentle flow pattern, and reach farther than the Hydors. You can also adjust the water flow to some extent on the pump, unlike the Hydor which is all or nothing. No magnets, and they use a bit more power.

A Seio controller should work with either pump, as most other wavemaker/controllers don't work well for these types of pumps.

koralia for sure.

I like my Koralia 3s.......I had two Seio 1100s, didn't like them much. Lots of heat, noise etc.

I have 2 Seio's 820's and I cant say that I have a problem with them. I like them better than my MJ's that I had...I get the same amout of flow out of half the amount of pumps that I previously had. While they are not "pin point" flow they do have a nice gentle flow over a wide area....

I have three seio 620's and two koralia 3's. The seio's were great until one started to leak voltage. The Koralia's were great, except that they just stopped working one day. I just called up Hydor, and they said that they would send me out a replacement as soon as they get it back. Apparently, there were some problems with a few.

Just because of the look and the mount, I give my vote to the koralia. The suction cups on the Seio are okay, but I like the fact that the Koralias stay put with the help of the magnets.

Hydors have a sleek look and its black so its blend in if you have a black background. Or if you like get the sureflow for your mjs.

tunze nanostreams for their smaller size and better directability.

i have the hydors. i like them a lot.

Hydors mainly because they are less conspicuous, and are easily relocatable to get the perfect flow.

Koralia hands down. I started with two Seio 1100s and then I bought one K4 to try. Then I bought another K4 to replace the last Seio.
