Looks like Heteractis species, but it would help to get a picture of the base/column.

I would treat it as Heteractis magnifica in the meantime. Have you had this specimen for awhile or is it a new addition?

I got this Anemone about a year ago on a small piece of live rock as a hitchhiker, it was about 1-2cm in diameter.
Today it is about 10cm with beautiful long arms, i could have been happier if it got more vivid coloration...

Its very hard to take a picture of its base as its an a rock as you can see...

I can shake it and persuade it to show its base if its the key to determine its specific specie...

This is a lousy picture, but take a look at the under side of the big anemone attached to the glass. Specifically at the "vertical striping" near the edge of the oral disk. Your specimen is a bit small, but you should be able to see a hint of that feature.

Congrats on the successful grow out :>)

I'll update as soon as ill take a look at the base.
I read about "Heteractis magnifica" on wikipedia, they wrote that this Anemone is almost impossible to keep in the aquarium... is it correct? i never paid much attention to this specific Anemone and even thought of giving it to a friend.

In my humble opinion, most magnficas are damaged during collection/shipping/acclimation and are not provided proper conditions. Folks that get them settled in, provide proper conditions, tend to have them around for many years.

Feed it a bit and see if it grows out to 24" across :>)

Thanks very much Scott, i appreciate you patience!

Ill try to pair it with a pair of clarki's tomorow, it might encourage her to grow as you wish :)

If they choose to call the anemone home, make sure the anemone does not respond by going into hiding or shrinking over the next week or so....some clowns can be quite abusive.

Good luck and post some pictures in the future :)
