I just picked up some epoxy to start glueing my rocks together...I have one question....do I have to have the rocks out of the water and dry or can I use this stuff underwater....
The stuff I got is the "marineland" holdfast stick....

I use aquamend from homedepot, like $3.50. It cures underwater.. I would imagine yours dose aswell.

Epoxies work to keep rocks from shifting but won't hold up gravity defying aquascapes. Try a masonry bit and pvc tubes or acrylic rods. Just be gentle with the drill, LR can break easily.

Works great and cures underwater But not very strong. If your just trying to prevent a rock slide it will work great.

Yes.

I asked this very same question and agree with what was posted. Holdfast will do the job, just let it cure for a couple days before messing with stuff.

I've used 3 colors of epoxy. I recommend the stone gray epoxy if you can get it. The white is very white and really shows up. The coralline pink (more expensive) is better but still looks fake. IMO the stone gray is the least noticeable as it's the closest to the color of the rock.

Make sure whatever epoxy you use is safe for SW aquaria. I've gotten all of mine from online SW suppliers. I think Lowes and/or Home Depot epoxy putty has been used safely, but I have no experience with that type.
