Also, is their a particular way to feed the horses? I have been using a turkey baster and feeding very slowly. I wait a few minutes in between. I wait until they have eaten most of what I put in there and then add some more.

You might want to try and train them to eat from a feeding dish.

How would I do this? Do you have any information or a website on the subject of training the horses to eat from a feeding dish?

I am new to this hobby and I am trying to learn all I can to be responsible. The only information I have about them is that they were captive bred in Vietnam. They eat wonderfully. I just want to make sure I do everything right.
