I have a branching hammer that has three stalks. Recently, one of them started dying back on one half. Is it recommended to cut back the dead skeleton? It looks like it has stopped receding. I will post a pic when I get a chance. Thanx

Leave the skeleton alone. I can't tell you how many times ive gone through this. If it's dying back there still a chance of it of recovery. Is this a new piece. Hammers don't always transport well and sometimes one head will get sick for no apparent reason while the others connected to it are thriving. If the head does die then you may want to cut it back.

My frogspawn done that when I first got him. One head was showing skeleton. Left him alone and now him and the other 2 heads are as big as a softball together.

Thats pretty normal. The heads are delicate and dont like to be handled.

Leave it alone, he might come back. Handling him will only stress him out more.

Hammer's, frogspawn, and torch's all do this. They don't like being bumped, handled or transported. They get irritated easily.
