Rock is starting to grow silvery metallic color coralline. is this bad?

My live rock that has been in my fowlr tank for the past year is starting to turn silver metallic colors which look just like the pink coralline next to it. is this bad live rock or just a weird looking species of coralline?

Never heard of silvery...mine grows a tanish color though... haha :)

I have noticed before it gets the pink color that it is often a silvery-white color.

It's probrobly the lighting that makes it look silvery.

what kind of lighting do you have?

regular 2 strip t12 florescent lights. its definately silver colored though. quite a bit spread over the rocks

Yea, I've seen silver coralline in my tank before. It usually changes to pink or purple after awhile

I'd guess it has to do with the lighting.
